COACHING EDUCATION LICENSING REQUIREMENTS EFFECTIVE AUGUST, 2003:
To clarify which licenses are required by age group and level: Effective August, 2003 (as approved by the state board in June 2000 and November, 2000):
a. Coaches working with U15 and older competitive teams must have at minimum a "D" level license
b. Coaches working with U11 through U14 competitive teams must have at minimum an "E" level license
c. Coaches working with U12 and younger recreational teams must have at minimum a "G" level certificate
d. These directives apply to all persons listed or recognized as a coach working with any team specific to the age group coached.
COACH PASS CARD ISSUANCE BY THE STATE ASSOCIATION
The State Office will begin issuing the coaches pass cards for August 2003 going forward. The coach registration fee will be $10.00. Registrants may submit their coaching information on-line at www.wiyouthsoccer.com and from the menu selection, click on the PROGRAMS tab, then access the COACHING EDUCATION page. Registrants will enter data in requested fields.¿From that page, hitting the SUBMIT button, will re-direct the registrant to the on-line RISK MANAGEMENT form to be downloaded and completed and submitted to the STATE OFFICE (one time paper copies are required for all registrants). Upon completion of the RISK MANAGEMENT form, the registrant will be prompted to attach a digital photo to be submitted with the on-line registration form. Or coaches may submit all required paperwork by mail or by hand to the state office. All hard copy registrations must include a photo of the registrant.
a. Registrations will be tracked by club and/or district where applicable. The state office will, upon completing the pass card process, will forward coaches passcards on a weekly basis, to the district or club registrar who will be responsible for establishing a distribution system to the district and/or club coaches where applicable.
b. The state association will invoice the district and/or club where applicable for the registration fee. The district and/or club will be responsible for collecting the registration fees from their member coaches; as the state association will not be collecting the fee via credit card on-line.
c. Coaches born in odd years must begin registering this fall, 2003. Coaches born in even years will begin registering in January, 2004.¿It is strongly encouraged that all competitive coaches submit their registration paperwork this fall.
