ASC Volunteer Job Descriptions:

If you like to instruct and encourage people, this job is for you! This volunteer position affords you the opportunity to help young people discover the fun, companionship, and excitement of a team sport. ASC will give you the training you need, along with the drills you’ll teach, to help you develop your players’ soccer skills.

Like the idea of teaching and training kids in a fun sport, but not sure you’re ready to be the head honcho yet? Perhaps you aren’t sure you can commit to a full season of practices and games; well, being an assistant coach is the perfect volunteer position to experience all that coaching has to offer, but with a fraction of the responsibilities.

If you like to organize and inform, you’ll prove invaluable to the lucky team that gets you as Team Manager. This is the position that allows, actually encourages, you to be “controlling”! Collecting information about each player, each game, every tournament, and then organizing it and distributing it back to a group of appreciative parents and an incredibly grateful coach, is your mission – should you choose to accept it!

This broad category encompasses a myriad of different opportunities to help the club, but even more specifically, to help the team your child is on. Jobs like geranium coordinator, geranium distributor, purchasing team equipment, etc., all fall under this heading.

If you're looking for a way to support kids in your community, encourage a healthy lifestyle through participation in sports, AND get some recognition for doing so, then being a Team Sponsor is right for you! All team sponsors have their business' name and logo emblazoned on the colorful t-shirts of every player and coach associated with each team you sponsor. For very little money, you'll get inexpensive advertising, community goodwill, and a team full of grateful kids.

Be part of the "moving" team! This group gets together primarily before the season begins, and after it ends, to move goals, hang nets, and distribute and collect equipment. Be a true "goal keeper" by volunteering for this position.

This is a job with the "growth fund" of the club. Responsibilities can include distributing geraniums, coordinating team geranium paperwork, and organizing plants in the geranium warehouse. You'll be working with flowers, order forms, and fun people...all to raise the money to keep ASC the best soccer club around.
